Black Sheep Chocolate

Our story with chocolate is rooted in our quest for more nutritious eating and better health. Our pursuit to be healthier and happier led to changes in our diets and our relationship with food. But how to be healthy and still enjoy one of life’s greatest pleasures? The answer: chocolate with a very high content of cacao.

Making our own chocolate at home and sharing with family and friends over the years helped us to discover and appreciate the incredible journey that starts with the cacao trees, harvest, fermentation and drying process. Understanding the amazing transformation of cacao bean to luscious chocolate bar with great chocolatiers and lots of experimentation, gave us the courage and passion to finally let the Black Sheep loose in Bend-Oregon, our home.

Black Sheep chocolate is an alternative to the high sugar chocolates Extremely limited production allows us to work with the highest quality cacao beans. Maintaining a high cacao content not only reduces the sugar, but brings forth the truest flavor of cacao, providing an authentic dark chocolate that is incredibly rich, smooth and pleasurable.
